Posted on Thursday, June 24, 2010 in News, Service

As previously spoken about on our website, four of our incredible members are participating on a contingent headed to South Africa. Originally they were going to Mafikeng, South Africa although do to safety and other issues, the location has changed to Welkom, South Africa. Our members will be leaving for the projects preparations on August 1st, 2010. Once in South Africa, the projects main goals are to assemble and install rain reservoir systems for multiple schools in the surrounding area. This will meet the main objective of the contingent has of eradicating extreme poverty and hunger (United Nations Millennium Development Goal #1)

We will contunie to post updates here on our website but in any case, you can visit the projects two websites using the links below:

Winter Camp 2

Posted on Monday, January 11, 2010 in Camps, News

The Christmas break quickly passed but not without a bit of fun! We had a chance to meet a few times to see movies and hang out in the busy malls. But now we are just getting back into the loop of school. It’s a good thing we planned a second camp!

After our first winter camp we could not get enough of the ‘fun’. We decided to hold a second winter fun camp only a few weeks after the first one. It was held at Hidden Springs where we experienced the remote cold wintery season.

In summery we had a fantastic time with a bit of training from one of our key advisors.
